Driftmania with 50mm f1.8

I went to shoot at this drift event last weekend and didn't had a zoom lens yet so I took a few shots with the 50mm lens ;)

One of Canon's "cheapest" lenses and still one of the best. Great shots, spot on! I sold my 1.8 for the 1.4 and don't think the IQ is as good.

Good shots with the 50mm!

I prefer the low shutter speeds.
So all the media were just walking targets out there, with nothing between them and cars???

I finally found a way to go there :D

I hope to get good shots and will try "safely" to take some shots with the 50mm because its my sharpest lens...

I have a 70-300 USM but I'm not sure if I will get clean results like these :confused:

My 1.8 50mm is still my favorite lens in my bag! You just can't beat the quality of the image. With some careful cropping, you could fool most of us into thinking these images were taken with a 2.8 300 or 400mm!
