The Bald Eagles never got too close yesterday, so these are fairly severe crops.

Yes, they were out quite a ways. You must have pulled something in with the 500 and the Mk II.

If I can get these decent-for-the-web shots out of the 400 and a 10D....

And I wasn't planning on posting the entire image - *we* will know who owns those skinny little white legs, but try to prove it in a court of law.

I was out at the National Zoo yesterday and while I took some shots of the Bald Eagles, they were just standing around (must have been a smoke break or something) and so I couldn't get any in flight.
