Great photos of Melbourne. When were they taken and what was the exif.
I work not far from there and was going to try some shots in the near future

They were taken around 5.30 - 6 o'clock about 2 weeks ago. I used tripod & 100 ISO for all.

no worries. Enjoy if you make it down. I'm hoping to go back. Didn't get any good shots from the front of the ferris wheel. ps all my shots were taken from the city side of the river.

yeah I love the first ferris wheel shot over the second too actually.

forno... I hardly have any commitments and I still struggle to get back down there! Hope you make it down before the wheel goes (I think it's only temporary).

Hi Lawrie, love that first shot. Second one should be shot again - try and see if you can get a longer shutter-speed (at least 8-10 seconds). This will make the water nice and silky.

I am planning to try again and doing just that, I was not too sure of the shutter speen and only went down to about 2-3 seconds

no worries. there's only one way to learn (trial and error) and it sounds like you know what to do now :)

Just try a variety of settings and see what turns out best.

Chet, love the photos.

I visited your wonderful city back in 2003 and enjoyed every minute of it. I didn't have the gear that I have now- but if I ever make it back I will be spending some quality time down around that river at night.
