Here is what you get when you go out with your camera while raining.
This guy, 1cm long, was swimming very fast on top of a very wet
leaf (just one foot distance from ants, aphids and wasps).
Would be very curious to get the ID and know what this THING is
doing.

That's awesome. I love how it's translucent. It's probably the only time you focused on an insect's internal organs for the shot... Lol

well I never! Seems you could be right and this is a young larva which will colour up later. Very good for keeping down aphids.

This stuff has no feet :(

Yes- these ones look like transparent small slugs.
One below is a shot from last year.
