i have an i850 printer.

i remember seeing this device that you plug into the printhead that takes place of the ink carts.

hoses run from this thing to a huge ink tanks that sit next to the printer.

costs like $150.

i was wondering if someone knows of this device AND have used it with positive results.

thanks.

I think this is what you are looking for

http://www.weink.com/ecom/catalog/econoflo_continuous_re-inking_systems_356303_products.htm

I've used one of the econoflo systems for an S9000 now for about 12 months, very useful if you tend to print a lot of stuff.

yup... something like that.

does that system make the printer "stuck" on that configuration or can you go back to the old style cart system?

i know when my 850 turns of the heads park themselves. does this system make turning off the printer with no problems?

thanks...

You can swap between normal carts and the bulk system - there are no modifacations to the printer. The tubing is very flexible so when the heads park when switched off there are no problems.
