Amazon.com has the SanDisk 512MB CompactFlash Card for $79 - $20 rebate [Exp 5/31] = $59 with free shipping.

This is probably the best price I have seen for this card in a while now.

Enjoy,

I picked one up under this deal back in early April.

According to the rebate form, purchases had to have been made by April 18th, and the rebate form postmarked by May 18th... Not sure where you're getting the May 31st expiration.

Yeah, the mail in rebate has not been updated. It will come up. I've seen Amazon being a little bit behind on getting it posted, but they will get it up and get you your cash back. You can buy with confidence of getting your $20 back, from my experience.

Despite what it says on the Amazon page, the form itself clearly says purchases must be made by May 16th, and postmarked by June 16th. (The form with the April 18th expiration is what I saw earlier, so that link at least has been updated.)

Personally, I would not trust the back-office temporary employee processing the rebate request to recognize the error, especially since Amazon doesn't process the rebates themselves.

Caveat emptor.

P.S. Pradeep; no offense to you intended! This is a great deal if you can get it.

I understand the caveat emptor and all. But this is a recurring deal that Amazon has and they almost always have the rebate lagging by a few days for the deal. If you guys are concerned, call up Amazon customer service and they will confirm the rebate and mail it to you when it gets updated. The problem is if you wait for the rebate to post on their website, enough people will have taken the deal, and they will sell out and your order will be put on hold and you'll have to wait additional time...sometimes two or three weeks to get your item. I personally have taken them up on this deal and it has worked out okay. Ultimately it is up to you. Caveat Emptor

That's okay. From one fellow Top Contributor to another Top Contributor -- You are forgiven. :P

For future reference, since I've seen this happen with Amazon at least ten times, expect Amazon to update all rebates after 3-4 days after the deal posts. So that should give you enough time to order and get your goods before having to send in the rebate. So far with all the stuff I have bought on rebate at Amazon, not once have they screwed me out of money.

With that said, get the deal while it's still hot! 8)
