Mines has a blue pixel too... i can live with it though. I think it's pretty common, and probably the reason why they stated the less than 0.01 % error thing..

I had a S30 for about a week when a blue pixel developed. I took it back to Futureshop and they replaced it right away. They do have a no hassle return/exchange policy though.

I bought one couple of months ago, and checked for the blue pixel this morning. It does not appear on mine.

I have a Canon Video Camera, Hi-8, not even digital.
ES-XXX, forgot the model.

The flipout LCD display has the same defect.
I read some where that it is not unusual.

It started bothering me, after some one else showed
me the problem. But returning it, getting a new one
and then finding the dead pixel has moved some
where else, is still more bothersome. I am
living with it.

After all, when I look at my partner,
I feel better. :-)

I am sure Canon will recall it, if it was
hazardous to them or us. :-)
