I recently updated my firmware to 2.0.1 and now, occassionally, the exposure level indicator on the lcd panel will indicate either +1 or -1 exposure compensation with no apparent input on my part and images will be respectively overexposed or underexposed by one stop.
camera settings are as follows: ap mode, no flash, canon ef lens, no custom functions, no exposure or flash compensation, no bracketing. subdial is always on, but I haven't inadvertently adjusted any compensation settings and the exposure compensation icon is not showing in the lcd panel when I experience the problem.
clearing all camera settings clears the problem. I shot 4000+ photos with no problem before updating the firmware. anyone have any ideas? thanks.
