This morning I rushed over to the 337 project to take some pictures of the graffiti. My sweet husband sent me an e-mail late last night with a link to the website. The last opening day was on (Sunday) May 27, 2007 so I wasn't able to get inside to look around but I was grateful the building was still standing when I showed up a day late to take some pictures. This large scale work involved 144 artists for a temporary showing and then the building will be demolished for the new City Center Lofts (http://www.citycenterlofts.net/). The building is located at 337 South 400 East (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=337+s+400+east,+salt+lake+city&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=36.863178,81.914062&ie=UTF8&z=16&iwloc=addr&om=1) Salt Lake City, Utah. For more information check out the project's website at www.337project.org (http://www.337project.org/). Now, Are you ready for some color?

mrsopie, these are really incredible shots. love the colors. it was definitely worth the morning rush...these shots wouldn't have been nearly as nice if it was just a big pile of rubble :)

That's cool grafitti. I wish we had them in Detroit. We have murals on some buildings but they aren't graffiti.

I'm happy to announce that the rush was worth it because I had a client just order a 20"x30" print on metallic paper of one of the grafitti photos. :)

Ahhh, such a sad piece of art to see go. Drove past the old location today leaving work and the scenery is lacking.
Beautiful photos by the way.

Man, It's sad to hear this building's going down :-(
That is some amazing work!! The artists have really turned it into something!
You did a great job getting some fantastic shots, they'll be grateful for people who appreciates it like you! Pretty sweet tree hand sculpture...

Some of those shots almost look like an oil painting instead of the side of a building. Really cool. :) --Joe
