Wow, not too shabby!
My 1st pic was when i bought my 300D back a few years ago. It was just of the dorm room i lived in... was REALLY crappy picture. On another note... something happened to my 18-55... it will focus at about 4-6 inches away from the subject at any focal length. Its not supposed to focus that close correct? So now it does like 1:2 macro or close to that!

This is my first post to POTN. I hope I get this right.

I'm very happy with both of these. These are both within my first 3 weeks of using a dSLR. (The pool shot is actually much clearer before I resized it. Not familiar with my software yet I guess.) :-(
C&C welcome to either. Thanks for looking.

Not the first shots, but within the first couple of months of owning my 300d.

This is my first crappy pic. We were going somewhere, it was winter and overcast was killer. I was just happy I could shoot away and not care.
