Half a head is better than none, right ?

I wasn't happy with this candid shot of my niece so I straightened it, chopped her in half and added some black space to the left.

Does that make it a fake ?

I personally prefer the original too but felt I was out of luck with the background and the unfortunate crop of the ear. The shot was taken in a busy restaurant. The 'chop' was my attempt to salvage a saleable stock photo.

I like the crop (would like to see in b&w), however you can see where you added the black space. USe the magic wand tool in the black space to the right and fill in the whole area with the same black... the area by her head is not as dark black
