I have a S3 IS and after seeing the interval shoot of the reno balloon race which was done with this camer I wanted to start to mess with it..

but im hitting a snag..

it says in the manual:

THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF SHOTS IS DETERMINED BY THE AVAILABLE SPACE ON THE MEMORY CARD

I have a 2GB card and it only lets me select up to 100 shots...

how do I get more? obviousley it can be done from the videos ive seen that must have taken upwards of 1000 shots or more to create, and were done with the S3 IS.

???

Sounds like the resolution on the camera is set to high. With what you are describing it seems that it is set to the max of 2816 x 2112. Also if your compression is set to high that will eat up more memory too. Try lowering the compression to "fine", and lower the resolution to 1600 x 1200 which will be more than enough to make good 4x6 - 16 x 20. Hope that helps some.

changing the res or filtering seems to make no difference..

with everything at large and superfine, I can shoot 720 pics, yet in itervalometer it only lets me select 100,

but even if I set it down to medium and fine where I can get 1800 it still only lets me select up to 100.

there are no listed firmware updates or anything else, so i doubt its a software issue..

The 100 shot limitation is stated in the first paragraph of the Intervalometer section on page 84. They do make it confusing by also mentioning the memory card limitation. The editor was asleep at the wheel, I guess.

Or you could use the intervalometer script with the RAW Hack
