I love the color in the second shot. Great captures all. Don't you hear the call of the Big Horns?

Excellent shots. It would be interesting to hear how you were able to get(seamingly) so close and what gear you used. The Eagles in lower Michigan aren't that easy to get to. Best of luck in your shooting endevours.

Very nicely done. Eagles are one of my favorite birds of prey and I never tire looking at them, in real life out in the wild or at the zoo, or in pictures. Thanks for sharing. :)

Yes, but the ones that are easily accessible are well protected and isolated from people getting near them. Maybe if in get in touch/tune with the right people/groups I can find out where to locate those that might be approachable/photographable. :)

Well I got lucky and was able to get in on a few that B&H had in stock on Sunday, had it shipped overnight and had it in my hands on Tues. Weather and work have gotten in the way of my getting any reasonable pics yet though and there is a bit of a learning curve coming from the 20D so I need to figure it all out. Hope to get some good bird pics with it this weekend though.
