My friend has a kid in LL...8&9 year olds....he asked me to come to his kids game on Monday.

I never shot anything quite like this...not a lot of action during the game.....here is where I ended up:

1 FINALLY a HIT!

very nice work... the tighter crop is spot on.. it may be worth upping your shutter speed to freeze the ball too.. (its about the only thing i can find wrong.. )

the back ground separation is very nice.. good work..

Nice work and I agree get your shutter speed up. I try to get up around 1/2000 if possible.

Nice, I like the second shot, can't decide between the orig. and the tighter crop, both are well done.

Thanks guys for all the input .....I'll move the SS up on the next set. ISO 400(ish) and see what happens.

Excellent set of photos! If you enjoyed shooting these, and if you want to shoot more, I think a lot of parents would pay well for work like this. I know at least one tog who shot professional baseball for years but does work like this now because he says there's more money to be made at it than in pro baseball.

#4 is my favorite, excellent use of DoF, man that 300 lens sure creates a nice bokeh. I've shot some LL varying in ages from 5 to 12, and they are lots of fun to shoot.

The catcher image is awesome!!! If that was my kid, I surely would buy that photo. I love it!!! Intensity in his eyes, nice squat, no one else near him in the frame, and some proud parent in the background taking in the game. Great picture!!!

I love their expressions; reminds me of my little league days.

Great shots.
