I was up at sunrise this morning shooting crane barges again when i had a chance to shoot some of the industrial marine workers. I thought this guy looked pretty tough. But the more I worked on the image the more I started to think he's probably just an old softy. The first image is with film grain added in PS. I think I prefer the film grain image.

Josh, I like the first image better too. I'd like to see it with much more grain though.

Josh, Yep. This one just begs for the graininess you've given it. Nice photo... and I'll bet you're right about this guy being a softy:)

BB, I really appreciate your taking the time to give a little feedback. So I took the time this morning to completely rework this one. Though in actuality I used a different shot entirely.

OK, the first one is with grain and the second is without grain. I have to say that the grain shows up a lot better at full size.
