Do you shoot other sports they like to see a selection with captions

Have to say that the galleries have far too many pics in to offer a sensible critique... and they're pretty tricky to navigate and bit slow to load (and I'm on a fairly quick connection).

Might be an idea to post 8 of your best pics in this thread along with captions and then invite some crtique. Good luck.

They load pretty well here...I am DSL and they came up fine. As a current user of Jalbum, the presentation was fine.

There are too many to critique. I agree that you should select 8 and post for review. My quick assessment was that many were soft or missed focus points and the DOF was too deep. But I only looked at a few. Post your best 8.......

BTW, I do not belong to SS.just offering some advice.

Have to say I agree, it is a bit slow loading for me as well. That said I did have a look. One thing I will say is dont shoot subjects from behind...players running away in action is a waste of time. Pic desks dont want to see them and neither will the guys at SS.com.

Also , and this was mentioned before. There are alot of frames where the subject(s) are not in focus.

So, as per Gav...pick 8-10 of the best shots, caption them up correctly and post them here so we can take a look and give you a steer. Not being funny but your 1st gallery has several shots of a couple of guys speaking into a mic, you dont need that many..if any of them.

I'm sure you have read this page but I'll link to it anyway just in case...

That site I believe just burned my eyes out.

Anyways, a lot of your shots were blurry, out of focus, and weren't cropped so very well. Your colors and white balance was fine though, might want to raise the ISO a bit for some extra shutter speed though.

As Marc and Gavin already said... make selection. Sorry I'm a bit busy, and when not, just plain lazy, so going through 100s of photos, which are not mine, is too much for me. Especially when you want some comments. Make selection down to 10-20 best photos and then it's different story :)

Usually looking at 100's of photos that aren't mine is not my idea of spending quality time....however, I spent quite a bit of time looking at a 100 of yours..... Nice work.....

I'll agree pretty much with the previous posters! Too many photos for my liking in there.

I'd pick what I view to be my "portfolio" shots and then repost the link - I think you'll get far more constructive comments.

For what its worth, I agree with the comments Marc made about taking pics of people running away.....also, I'd try to avoid images where the horizon's aren't straight....whilst its ok on the very odd occasion if you're wiring images, for a SS.com app, they'll probably flag that straight away unless its exceptionally good.

Looking forward to seeing your shortlist of images though!

Do you shot any sports besides soccer? SS looks for variety. You need 10 compelling shots with concise captions. Give us a gallery with your 10 best, you will get better input that way. Also, you do not need a sponsor you can apply without one.
