Ebay slaves and 300D

Im having trouble with firing the flash, Im using a 300TL speedlite with the wireless set up, ive set up everything correctly but it wont fire, and ive found that when i use the cord to connect then transmitter to the reciever, then press the test button, it will fire, but still wont fire when i press the shutter on my camera...Whats going on..?

Well I'm not sure about your flash but I have the Sigma 500 Super and on that one I have to change the settings on it to act as a slave. When it's in the ETTL mode it acts the same way as your yours. Can you change settings on your?

Yeah, theres ATTL , FEL, manual Hi and manual lo modes.
I can fire all of them with the test button but no with the camera..
So frustrating

As you press the shutter release button, apply slight pressure to the top of the transmitter. Sometimes the contact can be, lets say not the best. I have the same sometimes with both my Hot shoe PC adapter and the wireless trigger as well.

Does it work when you place it on the hot shoe of the receiver?

I think its just the flash, because when I take a picture aiming at the reciver, I can see the red light on the reciver on in the picture, so the transmitter on the camera and the reciever are communicating its just the flash wont fire
