Do the colors look ok to you? I am going to be buying a new screen because my first one is about to bite it.

Hey Ross - The pics look great and they show some peak action. They are just a little (and I do mean a little) on the flat side, punch them up just a little bit.

Good angles, the check shot is a real keeper, and, yeah, it looks like the goalie is definitely not where he should be, and knows it.

And, yeah, it is strange in particular with LAX that comments don't come back.

Feels like POTN is not the place to get C&C for improvement in sports overall. Good technical tips, but compostion etc. no so much so.

So, nice choice on backgrounds, good sharp stuff, good exposure control, good crops, LAX rocks. (So there, a NOOB likes your stuff, LOL)

What was the weather like?

I always wonder how people get a consistent look to photos when the light just isn't there.

Nice series - my personal perference is to crop only at print size ratios - eg. 4x6, 5x7, 8x10, etc.

IMPO - I think it's easier on the eye when viewing.

Thanks,

horton- we had for the most part very low cloudcover but the sun would peak in and out as the clouds weren't that pronounced.

matt1987- We've only shot 3 of the Middleton games and that goalie comes out alot! He has put several crushing hits on forwards preventing them from getting the ball. This shot actually is about a foot behind the goal. He made a save on a shot and it got by him and Verona's player who was behind the net picked up the rebound. Thats when he took off after him.

Im a little upset at myself because I stopped shooting just as he wacked the defender in the helmit and got a 1 min penalty.

And yes there are two of us shooting at each corner of the field using the 300mm 2.8 lenses.
