Free Subscriptions to these nice magazines. Make up some answers to their lame questions. If it does not accept you, then try something else. The deal works. No extra junk mail. Basically these magazines are given away to pros in the business to up advertising revenue. Might as well take advantage of it, since we are a good target market. 8)

Enjoy:

:D I subscribe to both magazines and love them both. I'm not a pro so I couldn't take advantage of your info. It's too late now anyway. The trick for us folks who take photos for our own enjoyment, is to subscribe for 2 years up front. Then the price per magazine is only about half price.

You don't have to be a pro to take advantage of this. They are really FREE.

Not if you answer the business related questions truthfully. They will only send the trade related publications to you. This is a scam to get your business phone and address along with your email address.

Their intent is to boost their numbers so they can sell ads. So, yes you're lying, but you're really helping the magazines (kind of, until the advertisers figure out that their ads aren't working).

I am a business owner and answered the questions truthfully to the best I could fit myself in with their confined requirements. This is not a scam to get your business phone/addr. Just use your home one. I've done this before and it has worked with no noticeable increase in spam/junk mail. Unless you have tried it, don't knock it. :D

I've tried it and I unfortunately have to knock it. Have you actually received your free subscription yet or even received confirmation from Outdoor Photographer? Is your business associated in any way to photography? If not, I'll be surprised if you'll ever see a free issue. That's what I meant about being truthfull on their business related questions.

I received some basic confirmation from Outdoor Photographer the other day via email. Not received the issue yet. Nothing from PC Photo. I've used this same company and its deals before and they have worked for PC Magazine, Forbes, Kiplingers, etc. My business in not associated to photography, but I use photography in my business for a lot of things.
