This is my first picture post here, and pretty much my first actual post so I am totally new to photography but these forums are incredible and a great time killer at work. :p

Anyway, I just recently picked up an XT package (sorry dont have exact specs with me) and I am still trying to learn all the terms and features.

On to the photo. There was a contest I entered where they wanted a picture of your Mustang in front of a baseball stadium. It was a little bit of a drive, but I braved the lovebugs on my fresh coat of paint and headed to Legends Field in Tampa, FL. Winner will be announced on/around June 1st *crosses fingers*.

C&C welcome, in fact thats why I am posting (I expect it being new ;) ). Actually had a difficult time finding a spot which showcased the stadium so it didn't just look like a concrete building in the background.

Just my thoughts here;)

If there wasn't such a shadow on the car from the tree, it would look a little better. Maybe if you try the same shot from another spot? And "zoom" in more too.

Yeah I was a little disappointed with the lack of good "spots" to make the whole picture come together. Where I was standing, I literally had my back up against some brush and a fence, and I was trying to get the "Yankees" in the whole picture as well. I suppose I could have pulled forward lol.

When I get home I will post up some other pics as well. Think I took these around 3pm so probably not the most ideal time.

Thanks for the comments, love to hear more. :)

I took these around 3pm so probably not the most ideal time. I'm not thrilled by the shadow on the fender, & 8:30 PM is much better?

PhotosGuy, first off I probably spent 4 hours yesterday reading your various tutorials. Awesome job man, great info I printed most of what I browsed upon to reference later.

I never said 8:30pm would be better, but judging on the shade of the trees there was probably a better window of opportunity. Unfortunately, I was up against having to drive 45 minutes each way to get the shot (of Legends Field), and submitting the photo that night because the contest was ending. I had never scouted that area so I had no idea what to expect. As well as 20 minutes cleaning those damn love bugs off each time.

And to be perfectly honest, I never even realized the shade of the trees when I was taking that picture. But as an amateur photographer those are the lessons you learn I guess.

This is the only other pic I have uploaded atm:

I never said 8:30pm would be better, Right. I said it, as in, "8:30 PM is much better than around 3pm"? ;) But as an amateur photographer those are the lessons you learn I guess. True.
1st lesson: LOOK at everything in the shot.
2. Move around & LOOK again. ;)
