so - i'm making my first show :)!! Okay - quick question - how do you get the timing right on with the length of the song? I mean - can you cut the song short because I have 73 images and it doesn't take the whole song and the preview plays it again when the photos stop... Thanks!

I don't understand your question. Do you want to shorten the song or change the timing of the photos? The images can be evenly distributed over the length of the song fairly quickly by clicking on "fit to song".

THanks, no I don't want to fit it to the song because I want the images to transition with the beats of the music so I want to trigger it. But when I have already used all my images - there is another 30 secs or so of the song - so I want to shorten the song to fit to amount of images.

Easy enough. Grab an mp3 editor and chop 30 seconds off of the song. Then fade out the last few seconds of the song so it doesn't end abruptly.

The Showit templates should show you how many images you need - if you don't have the right number you can take out some beats in the "custom timing" section. Go to "record" and you should be able to cut selected beats from the template until it fits the number of images you have. I hope that makes sense....

thanks for all the help and suggestions :) I know you can go with the premade timing templates but then most of the songs that I like are only 30- 40 images and I want to make a longer show than that. I will check out the programs listed above.

Joanna, you don't have to cut down the song or anything. You can use just half the song and it will fade out and end it for you automatically. Showitweb is pretty slick that way. I just wish the fade out was a little slower because it's seems a bit abrupt.
