Lenspen Brush contamination

Here's a new question - I cleaned some filters with the brush end and cleaning end of my Lenspen. Then I used the brush on my G3's lens and surrounding area. Now the brush leaves streaks on every lens I try to clean. The only thing I can think of is that there is a light coating of grease in the moving barrels surrounding the G3's lens. As it stands, I have to either try to clean the brush or get a new Lenspen. Has anyone else seen this?

I have not, but you might try dipping the brush in rubbing alcohol, then blotting it on a lint-free cloth to absorb both grease and solvent?
