I know it has issues with louping and all - can't figure that out completely yet but I was just so excited to get the show online - will edit it and then send it to client. CC is greatly appreciated :)

I haven't used the program I use proshow gold but it looks real nice with solid movement on the images, I might have to pick it up.

thanks :) It's pretty easy to use and I really like how you can put it up on the web so easily!

Hey Joanna,

THe slideshow looks nice and you seemed to capture some great shots of the couple.

My only suggestion is to vary up the pictures from photo to photo in the slideshow. For example. I saw many occasions where ou ahve the same pose with slightly different elements next to each other. Try separating them.

Other than that - great job!

Thank you so much for your advice - are you saying to try and use different poses or make the show shorter? I think with a wedding it would be easier because you focus on the story of getting ready, cereomony, group shots and a couple or reception shots but I find it hard to have a huge variety of engagement photos. Any suggestions?

Not bad for #1. Try doing a little more tweaking to images before putting them into showit.

Here's my process:

1) Sort photos in lightroom and export them out with proper sequence 0001.jpg, 0002.jpg etc. Much easier to visualize and maniuplate sequence via lightroom than showit.

2) Using photoshop size them roughly twice the ratio of final images. For example. If my final animation will be 400x200. I make them 800x400 and leave it to showit to size down and compress. I takes these 800x400 images and reshape them by... fade out sides to black some to white. Skew, fades, frame etc.

3) Import them into showit and double check sequence.

4) Import full length mp3 song into showit. And using advance timing to sync it just right to music beat and or tempo.

5) I then go back and do some advance tweaking using fading, overlaping overlay. Faster cut. Exaggered zoom on certain photos.

6) Find how long it takes for all your images to end after doign custom timing sync. Then use an external mp3 editor to cut out the rest of the song and fade to liking.

It took me a while to learn these sequence. I just wish someone had post these tips before I spent hours and hours working these animations.

A few of my showit animation can be found here -> http://www.billbroere.com/
This site was done by me for a friend in North Carolina.

Excuse my gramma... Good luck with Showit!

thanks for the advice - I do sort in lightroom and then import - all of the advance stuff in showit that you are talking about - I"m still a bit unfarmilar with. I'll have to look more at the advanced settings.

If you still can't figure it out, try posting the same question on OSP http://www.opensourcephoto.net/forum

I had a problem uploading a Showit slideshow to my blog and David Jay was awesomely helpful and very quick to help.
