It has a very red tint to it. The tummelbach (maybe spelt wrong) water falls further along there are much more impressive. Very nice area for photographing. Also why did you use f22? I assume it was for the water motion?

nice... f22 to cut down the lighting? good motion blur on the falls.. can you cut back the reds a touch or is this falls really that red?

It looks me as if the camera has set the aperture to f22 so the shutter speed can be longer. A better solution would be to use a filter to slow it down a bit as theres bound to be some distortion with f22

Hello,
Thanks for the feedback, the rocks were redish, but I pushed it even more with white-balance, I kinda liked the effect and the even greater contrast between the rock and the trees.
Also, what kind of distortion would appear at f/22, and what speaks against using it?
(btw, f/22 wasn't set by the camera, I manually set it, but still I fail to see what is wrong with that)

cw695356, I went there a bit too late for the Tummelbach (you spelt it right) falls, apparently they close the entrance at 17:00

Thanks again for the c&c, and I'd really like to hear more about that aperture problem, thanks!

theres nothing wrong with f22 at all its just that some lenses will not be as sharp or will show signs of distorsion or abberations... thats all. Shooting waterfalls in daylight is not as easy as it seems.. the best way is go at first light or last light, or get a really good ND filter.

Ah ok, didn't thought of that, but the shot ended up quite sharp
It was taken at about 20:00 and sunset was at about 21:00

Zacker is right about f22. If the photo is sharp then thats all that matters really. Very nice area to photograph indeed
