Does anyone have a step-by-step guide to installing ALL software (MySQL, PHP, & EE) and how to configure on a Windows 2003 Server ???
I have NO experience with MySQL or PHP, but I really love the layout and flexibility of EE and would like to use it!

I don't know of an idiot's guide. In fact IMO, EE is quite the opposite, it is complex to set up. But it looks so good and offers so much customization and flexibility in return that it is worth it!
Here is what I would do if you are just starting and have zero experience with Apache, PHP and MySQL. Go to Apache Friends (http://www.apachefriends.org/en/index.html) and get the XAMPP installation. It has all those programs wrapped up in a single installer. Make sure you disable IIS 6 from starting up automatically too. If it is running Apache won't start. Get all of them configured and running *before* you move to EE. Once you know how the configs work for each, then install EE - making sure you follow the install procedures Pekka has written step-by-step. It may take a day or two of spare time to get it up and running but once it is you will have something great. Hope this helps.

drosoph, did you get EE installed and working yet? I'm in the same boat as you (no knowledge of PHP or MySQL).
I was going to take the plunge one of these days, and try my luck.
I was wondering if you came accross any usefull instructions for installing all the required stuff on a IIS server.

Never mind my last post...
Did it last night, and all the installations went smoothly... except for Imagemagik... still trying to figure out why it isn't working.

ALL software (MySQL, PHP, & EE)
While I found EE today I cannot help you install that aspect, but on windows, at least on XP, I've found an all-in-one installed for Apache, Php, mysql etc that's great:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/apache2triad/
Apparently there's now an "extreme" version packed with other goodies
http://sourceforge.net/projects/at2-extreme/
It was a breeze to setup compared to installing apache and all the addons by hand.
hope this helps other people
