Good luck,, I applied for a like position in richmond.. found out it was to go around and take real estate photo's and write a brief description. Pay was $.50 per mile including photo and description that they wanted e-mailed in. Not even full time :?
Nah not for me.

good grief - $.50 per mile. I don't know if that even covers operating costs (gas, insurance, depreciation of vehicle and equipment, SS taxes, etc.). And even if it does, it leaves little for wages.

IRS allows you to take $.375/mile in 2004, which works out pretty well in terms of gas, insurance, wear & tear, etc. So that is not money you really earn, because you car will eat you out of that in time.
Your "profit" or income is $0.125/mile. If you spend a hard day putting 100-200 miles on your car driving around town, you net $12.50-25.00. You can do better flipping burgers or working at Walmart, or if you like, drving a real taxi cab.

I get the feeling that as you amortize the cost of the car itself over its lifespan (at 100-200 miles a day, that's not a real long time), you'll be money ahead to not work for $.50 per mile. I'm not doing the math though.
