I had a double header this weekend, two of the hottest and humid days so far this summer in Ontario. Always makes things extra fun :) Here's a few that stood out to me from friday's wedding. CC welcome.
Thanks

Jeff - I feel your pain. Yesterday I was at the baseball diamond all day shooting, it was a sweat bath there!
As for the shots:
1. Very nice! In fact, I think this is the 1st time I've seen this kind of shot. Very unique. I like it!
2. Nice capture. Very different from the standard detail shot.
3. I saw a photo like this from Tim the other day, and I absolutely love it. You did a great job at it also! You can totally feel her nervousness.
4. I like the way you set everyone up, except for the bride. I don't know why she's facing away. I do wish she were facing the camera.
5. Cute pose. Did you try it in B&W?
6. Very nice. The bride looks to be full of emotion. Must have been very easy to work with.
7. My favorite shot from the series. I love the PP you did to it! Care to share your technique?
All in all - great photos Jeff!

As for #4, not sure why I sort of like it this way, I also have the same shot, setup like this:

& I believe I also have one with them looking at the camera with big fake smiles as well :)

Love them all, but 1, 5, 6, and 7 are my particular faves. The first one is wonderful!

Wonderful color on the first one! I was really getting into it as I was scrolling down, but then didn't see the bride. I was wondering if there was one. ;) Then she appeared with that patio shot and I loved it. I have an outdoor reception to shoot and I need all the help I can get right now.
#7 selective color is nice. The effect works for me.

Jeff, why didn't I know you when I got married (either you or Lloyd, but Lloyd lives a bit farther ;))??
These are all excellent!
#1 starts well the set. Perfect exposure, I love the subtle color variations in the flowers of the bouquet.
#2 and #3 are very good detail shots. I'm just not too fond of the face we can see in the BG of #3...
I prefer the "new" version of #4 except for the fact that the groomsmen and bridesmaids are not all looking at you. Having the couple kissing would also work, I think :)
#5 and 6 are lovely. The flowers are a bit overblown in 5, but it still passes!
#7 is very nice. Just too bad for the leaves in front of their hands and the branch a bit too close to the bride's hair to my liking.

#4 is kind of pink to me.
#5 is the best in my book

That's a solid set Jeff, by your standards. They don't look so comfortable in #6. Good detail shots. I like the idea of the group shot but I don't think you quite pulled it off, because of expressions, the way people are facing, and the B&G don't look so comfortable either. It's still better than my group shots though :)

The pictures are all lovely quality but I am not a big fan of all the 'headless' shots. To me, they could be just anybody... I like to have faces (or at least partially) with my photos. Just a personal preference.

Tim, I had a big problem with the B&G being comfortable... hence alot of "headless" shots :)
At least for my favourites, there are PLENTY of regular shots, these are just the ones that stood out to me, by no means does it represent complete coverage :)

since u asked, C C time!!
1. cute shot, think ill steal errr borrow this shot lol.
2. great shot that dont need any comments.
3. just to blown out for my tastes, and i always (if can) ask the bride and groom to remove watches before i shoot cuz dont look good and u always seem to get reflections off them.
4.It is a bit red and i too dont like looking at the back of the brides head. if she turned to the right BAM!! winnah!
5.great shot that u can just slap on any page and it will work perfectly.
6.another cute shot, a keeper but just that red dot in the yard draws my eyes.
7. again too bright for me, just a bit darker and up contrast and its another winner!
all great shots but coming from Toogy, what would u expect.
