There aren't any postings on the
Lens Sample Images Archive=- (work in progress) for the Tamron 28-300mm (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=141406)
So, I'll try to be the first with my first attempt at resizing and posting a quick picture. Add it to the lens sample images.
I hope it works.

I guess this is not such a popular lens. When I bought it, I thought it was a good deal considering the price and the wide range it covered for a fraction of the cost of the Canon 28-300mm. I don't find it to be that bad, and heard of some good reviews that it was an adequate lens for the price. I now understand that Tamron has upped the ante with their own IS for this lens. Again, post some pictures if you have some.

I was going to get it for my film camera just so I only had one lens for it. Still though, nice shots.

Wow Brian. Those examples are so good I am having trouble believing they came from a Tamron! Amazing shots. Well done.

Did you do a lot of PP on these? I can' t believe there aren't too many people posting with the 28-300mm given the range and low price. I figured there would be some travel photographers out there who like the idea of taking along only 1 or 2 lenses. C'mon Tamron user. Add a pictures from the 28-300 to this one.

I do very little PP on my photo's. I beleive that you should get it right, in the camera (exposure, white balance, etc...)

Brian,
it seems as if you knew how to use your camera and lens ... then the quality of the lens becomes less important
Still, it is not a secret that you can use most lenses to good results when you use them within their limitations. 'f/8.0 and you're there' ...
Best regards,
Andy

Thanks keeper of the archive! I'll see if I can add a couple to this thread later. Hopefully some other people will share their images before then.
