American Gold Finch, looks more like a baby chick. My wife really likes this one.

He's not puffed up, but I got a half way decent shot of the Indigo Bunting thats been hanging around. I'm still hoping to catch him on a Sunny day, if we every have one :)

Great shots JC. The third one is a female Brownheaded Cowbird. The finch is a great shot, looks like she's resting.

I don't think I ever saw a Hummer at rest! My Hummingbird feeder has gone silent after 4 weeks of daily activity. We were changing the solution and cleaning the feeders every 3-4 days and then missed and went 7 days during a hot spell. Have not had one since then. I must be on their crap list!

Thanks, and for the name. I got a couple shots of the finch all puffed up. She looks cutest in this one, because of the resting thing. The other shot was sharper, but...

Bummer. My wife keeps ours changed regularly. She even has a friend come and put the feeders out before we return from FL for the summer(currently in OH), just so we won't loose our hummers. We've only seen 3 this year, most we've had is 6, but usually just 3-4 hang around each year.

The hummingbirds rest all the time here. One of our feeders hangs outside our sun room, right between a window and a Weeping Cherry tree. They love that tree. They sit there for minutes at a time. They also do their little mating dance through it and around it. A few years ago the weeping cherry died(bores). We immediately replaced it with another, for the hummers.
