At first I just thought it was a bland shot. Then I realized how cool it was. Very nice. Perhaps if I could offer up a suggestion...maybe a different type of person sitting there. Maybe a homeless person...or how about a cop. Just thoughts running out of my mouth. Sorry if I offend.

I like it and think it's interesting too. ;)
But I'm also curious about the location and the light source. I'm curious about you too. :D It pleases me to peek into the BW&S forum and see new posts from you. You post strong, meaningful, well executed urban shots. Anyone who's tried his hand at urban knows that's not the easiest task.

Great shot. I think it could be even better if you photoshoped the electrical outlets out of the picture.

The more and more i look at it the more and more i like it. I think im actually staring to love it. :) Id really love ot hear how you took this hsot. Was he just an old man sitting there with no one around and you happend to capture the moment, was the shot set up , or maybe you knew him and was going to sit own next to him and noticed how cool it looked? I love storys that go with photos. :)

Thank you all for the continued comments.
Athena - I'm happy that you liked it and thought that it was interesting too and also that you are curious about me as a photographer - a very nice complement - and I hope my images speak to much of who I am as do yours.

Not posed - "happened to capture the moment" as you say. Taken with existing light from large windows to the right at the RPAC (Recreational and Physical Activities Center) at Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio.

Sometime in the 1100's attention began to focus upon the individual apart from the group, or the collective. Sometime in the 1930's attention began to slip the other way.

i would do less black on the bottom, but great concept - reminds of this juggler that hangs out near my local library. been wanting to capture him for a while, but everytime i go to the library for research, i don't bring my camera.
