A couple of scaley breasted lorikeets. Common little Aussie characters.

No not pests. Just pesky! if you start feeding them they will end up in your hair!.

It may not have been those birds but I have heard of a species of wild parrots in Australia that come in flocks and strip trees and shrubs of their foliaged. People are not pleased to see their prized trees attacked in this manner.

Joe, We have sulfur crested cockatoos that often move around in large flocks. They will even strip the timber from your house! Most of our parrots can be destructive in the wrong environment. They can do a fair bit of damage to cropping trees and seed crops. We are fortunate where we live. The flocks are small and they do no harm.
