Here's one of my cats Hansel and yes there is a Gretel... The room had very low light grabbed real close with my 2.5 50mm macro.

It's hard to tell on my monitor, but does your histogram show burned out highlights? Also, I wonder about the color balance. The cat looks kind of yellow orange to me. I would like to see more color and maybe a catch light in the eyes. And, I'm distracted by the way the cat's whiskers and hair have turned red on the left side. What's causing that?

Blown highlights. White balance off. Cat unhappy. And too tightly cropped at the top.
(|s this like one of those games where you have to add a phrase whenever it's your turn?)

Well I like it.. looks like my old cat Spud. Its not THAT blownout. Maybe the cat isn't pure white therefore the WB is ok? Perhaps the cat isn't unhappy but in deep thought?

Sorry been away for a few days WB is on it's a FLAME tip Himalayan (thus the orange red colors in the hair) Crop yeah I'll agree with that. The whiskers faded to red may have been due to the 1600 ISO in near blackness and noise killed it, doesn't look as bad at full res on my 24" LCD. Thanks for the help on the feedback all.
