Is this a good angle even though the sky a little over blown.
just curious.
This was taken in Three Hills, Alberta Canada Auto meet.
more like Show and Shine.
No PP was done just a minor exposer adjustment
also shifted to standard mode as it was shot in netural mode.
Thanks all Ps there was not a whole lot of room between cars

Now there's a proper engine bay!

Had you stepped another inch back & recomposed, you wouldn't have clipped the front bumper in #1-- even so, a great pic of an awesome bowtie

Thanks Pixel9ine. I see it a tiny bit got nipped but I guess I'l have to wait another year. but there are more show and shine later on as this event had over two thousand Veilchle and it was cooking.

The sky isn't (very) important, but the exposure for the car is, so this is how I'd meter it: Need an exposure crutch? (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=89123)

What is more important are the highlights in the body. In the rear quarter are dark areas at the top of the fender & bright reflections in the bottom of the door - just the opposite of what should be there to define the bodywork & make the car look good.
Part of shooting is picking your shots, & out of 2,000 cars, I'll bet there were some where the car might have looked better?

Car shows in sunlight are hard to shoot anyway. When you have the time, here's a way to use low light to reduce shadow contrast & help the car to look it's best:

Thanks PhotosGuy I'll try and make a simple note of what to do to improve.
I've read your tip so I'll bear in mind
The 57 chevy had buttersoft leather through out the car includeing the floor.
enjoy looking

nice shot shame about clipping the front off

have to disagree with photosguy the sky can make or break a image especialy if it has clouds in it
