Pirate Fest Port Washington, WI. Weather Conditions Questions

Couple from the Pirate Fest this weekend. My first time at this event, and it was a constant changing from Sunny & Hazy, to Overcast, to Dark and Gloomy, and Downpour. I stayed in manual all day trying to keep pace with the weather.

When in conditions like that is it better to shoot in AV or TV? Trying to catch up to the characters and get good shoots while shooting manual was real work!

I'ld have used Av or P (with program shift)...
I like the second shot. Good expression. Would have been nice if it were sharper, but you can't win 'em al ;)
