Went to the Smoky Mtn NP to shoot Bears and Deer and got these guys

Great shots as always Allen. I still have yet to see a piliated anywhere near that close to the ground.

Great shots Allen....the presence of the barbed wire in the first two really give a good perspective as to just how large a Pileated Woodpecker is.

Outstanding. I had one quick look at a pilieated before he flew off. By the time I picked up the camera he had gone and I havent seen him since.

Very good shots of the female Pileated, a very unique pose in pic#1 and I love the composition of the turkey.:)
