This gerbera decided to grow in my front yard - no idea where it came from - birds?? , just that it decided to light up my life for a short while. I just had to take a shot of it, and thought that I'd share it with you

Lovely shot Rel

Our thanks to the bird for dropping the seed and sincere thanks to you for recording the bloom so beautifully.
The tight shot taken more or less against the light has worked wonderfully well. The backlight has etched and outlined the petals beautifully.

The background is well blurred too.

Some time, carry a small atomiser with water with you.
A few drops gilistening in the sunlight particularly in the center of the flower will take your shot from Excellent to Superb.

Consider yourself patted on the back.

Thanks Eland :) The shot would've looked great with some droplets - I'm a slack bugger for not doing it at the time. I didn't think of it until later, and the light was not quite right, so I didn't do it again. I know that I keep thanking you - but please believe how much I value your comments on my photos :) I hope you enjoy seeing my photos as much as I enjoy taking and posting them :)
