They are good shots for a first attempt but you need to show more motion. The second shot looks a lot like guys who are stopped on the track.

You might need a different angle next time but try to pan some shots to blur the background.

i like first one better if they werent cut off. great try to capture some fast moving bikes. id love to see u try again with longer lens, and pan them as they come ripping past!!

Really... wheels spinning, dirty flying, bikes over at an angle.... I don't see a static image at all. That part in my ever so humble opinion is working. What I don't like is the tilted horizon. This is flat track racing, and the track doesn't look even slightly level. Work on that, and isolating your subject a tad better, and you'll be off to a grand start.

I think your second one is a good picture. Our speedway track in Leicester went long ago and it's nice to see the sport is still going where you are, even although there doesn't appear to be many spectators.

You might find it helpful if you can look critically at speedway pictures in magazines and on the Internet. Don't worry about your equipment. Persevere with what you have until you are able to afford better.
