phil, nate and company (different bass player, still w/ ryan @ the drums) came through again after i first shot them as openers for New Model Army (see this http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=253501thread for the 1st batch), and they liked the shots i took last time so they invited me out for this show.

the lighting wasn't as good/strong, but wasn't horrible; since they were headlining, ryan's drum kit was at the back of the stage, and lighting wasn't nearly as good as the first time...too bad, because he's a great drummer to watch, hear, and shoot.

I really like the B&W conversion/grain in number one and the colors/blur of number 6.

Are you the same Narlus from Ride Monkey?

thanks! the club wasn't very full so i had plenty of room to move around and try different angles, which is unusual.

Looking again, I think #6 is best of the bunch. #8 is nice as well, but the expression is a bit 'sad'.

On #6, I'd do a second conversion, to get the hand holding the mic a bit more detailed and darker (less distracting), and also burn the second guitar in the BG. (a lot; make it black if possible.)
