Hello there,
After a trip to Florida, I have a thousand of pics to batch proccess.
My question is : how do you guys integrate the ps's raw conversion in an action ?
The action I'm trying to create is :
- Open the RAW file
- adjust levels
- unsharp mask
- convert to 8 bit/channel
- save jpeg
- close image
So when I try to batch proccess this action, ps always asks me to click the "OK" button for the raw conversion.
Any idea to avoid this ? :?: :?:
Thanks,
MikeG

In your actions command listing, is there a "dialog on/off" toggle switch ?
If that toggle switch is "on", then when your action is activated and the command line comes to a command where the dialog on/off switch is "on", then that command won't complete without user input .....
Hope it's as simple a thing as that .....

Well, in my action there is no open command as it is done by the File- Automate - batch dialog box. The first step is adjusting levels.

Understood ...
And it's not the "Open" command that I'm talking about here ....
But in the "action" that you've got recorded, there is a list of commands that are executed to perform the steps in that action ... In your actions palette, click on the small arrow that's in front of the action name - that should open up the list of commands in that action. Scroll down the list and see if the "dialog on/off" square (in the left column) is in the "on" state .... if it is, click on it and it should be turned "off" ....

As there is no open command in the action, the dialog on/off won't appear.
However all dialog boxes are off.
Thanks anyway

Apparently, I'm not explaining myself very clearly....
The "Open" command has nothing to do with this ....

Mike,
Ah, I understand, and I understand Cecilc's confusion as I was confused as well. Problem with Photoshop, ten ways to do the same thing.
Using Automate | Batch you will select your source folder(s), you will also set your target folders and the action set you want to run etc.
On that Batch dialog there is a tick box called "Suppress File Open Options Dialogs". This will stop the RAW Conversion window from opening.
Do realise (I'm sure you do) that the RAW conversion will use what ever settings you set the RAW convertor to for all shots.
I hope this helps, and that I am not still confused. ;)
Cheers
