Another sport we don't see often

Kendo. I took my camera to school today and got a few shots of the kids training

These are all with the Canon 50mm f/1.8 Mark 1 (metal mount, bigger focus ring).

This is my first time shooting indoor sports. I didnt get the shutter speed right until towards the end. I have lots of ok shots but these sort of stood out a bit for me. They arnt all action shots. C&C welcome.

Very cool Herbo

I'm willing to bet you'll have the same issues I have with fencing. Low light and fast moving targets! Not to mention trying to squeeze everything in the frame on a crop camera with the 50mm.

The worst thing was actually the windows. There were windows on all around the room except for one wall so if anyone would go into those areas it would totally blow the highlights.

great shots. i remember learning kendo when i was on exchange in japan, it was so much fun. let me tell you though, polished wooden floors, bare feet and 5 degree celcius outside temperatures dont make it easy!
