BP-511A with 300D

Hi all, just wanted to seek your opinions on this..I posted this in DPReview too...anyway, I was planning on purchasing a couple of BP-511A batteries and I was wondering whether or not it will work properly with the 300D. Also, could we use the charger that comes with the 300D to charge the batteries? Or do we need a new charger?:) Hope to hear from you all soon..:) Thanks..:D

It's the same battery, just a higher capacity. 1390 mAh as opposed to 1100 mAh. Check out Thomas Distributing (http://thomas-distributing.com/maha_lithium_rechargeable.htm), you can get a nice 1300 mAh battery for around $35.

I dont know if the sale is still on, but I got BP-511;s at WalMArt for $20 last week. I purchased one to try last fall and it has done very well including in cold weather too.
