i like the focus that comes with vignetting, but its tricky in this pic to not get the rest of the image too dark. what do you think?

or this version.

I would say something in between 2 and 3. I like the fact there is more highlight detail in 2, but 3 has a bit more contrast and punch. Still maybe slightly too dark though. 1 is out of the running for me.
Nice photo! :)

I like #3 the best, I can make out all the details but matches the darkness in the sky! #2 is good also but the architecture of the building fades out too much! Great shots!

I like 1 or 3 the best. I love the high contras and the clouds are amazing

I liked #2 because of the better highlights.

I would go with #2. The vignette in #1 makes the image to dark. Nice shot.

thanks for all your replies. Im a little partial to #3 but will try to dodge some of the highlights in #2 to brighten it up a little.
that was an amazing day for shooting clouds, it threw up so many variations in such a short space of time i just went wild clicking at every corner. here's another one with some 'moody' clouds.

A mix between 2 and 3 for me... the contrast is great, but 3 is just a tad too dark

MLPhotography: PP is done on the conversion and adding the vignetting, otherwise its all from the pic (nned to learn how to dodge/burn!)
these were taken from barcelona, spain around the gothic quarter. I used either the sigma 10-20 or sigma 24-70.
thanks all for your comments. Im trying frantically to get my dodge/burn technique up to scratch, but I agree a mix between 2 and 3 is the way to go. cheers!
