Just bought the resize plugin from Fred Miranda and am comparing results.
I would to hear You think.
First shot resized from 3072 x 2048 to 800 x 533 with PS CS normal Image Size method in one step.

Well I definitely think that the FM is better than PS's one-step - but I've said that before so I thought it was silly to respond since we dicussed this in another thread.... :)
From some tests I've done I don't think that there's much difference at all between the FM multi-step and creating an action to do it yourself. But I find the convenience of the FM plugin worth the $20. I've yet to try upsizing - another thread sparked me on this.
I personally don't like sharpening in the FM plugin because I like to take total control of that as a last step.

Yeah I knew that but can You really see a difference in the first 2? Maybe its my eyes or my monitor that are not properly adjusted because I can't see any difference. With a black background I flip between the 2 examples and can't see any difference. I can see a difference when applying low or high sharpen.

Yes, I can definitely see a difference. The first shot looks a little softer. Not a whole lot, but it's there. Would it be noticeable after proper sharpening of both? That I don't know, but I'd rather have a better image before sharpening.
You probably saw these:
From 3072x 2048 directly down to 400x266 in one step, done plain bicubic

Done in 20 steps, plain bicubic

I think there's a clear difference between the first and second. I think that the third is very very slightly better than the second.
Start a poll maybe? Two images (PS 1-step vs FM but don't tell which is which) and see how many people think that the FM one is sharper.

On Your samples I can see the differences mainly around the eyes.
Yeah I'll put everybody to the test and create a poll
