I shot the picture in RAW and then used DPP to put a green and then a red filter on. Then I combined the green, red and non-filtered pics with Photomatrix. I seemed to have lost a lot of sharpness when I converted to jpeg and resized to 800 pixels (I probably messed something up in the conversion process.) Anyway ... any thoughts?

I didn't crop so that I could show the effect my Photomatrix merge had on a variety of foliage.

Thanks!
BTW, I used my XTi with the kit lens and a polarizer mounted on a tripod. It was a long exposure because I had stopped down as far as I possibly could (I had just seen the Ansel Adams exhibit at the DIA.)

I think its a lovely image....and it doesnt need cropping imho. The B/W conversion works well....the foliage seems to frame the lad nicely and adds a feeling of peeping in without him knowing you were there.

The only thing that could make this image any better would be if there was a croc waiting just below the water's surface, ready to have at it ;)

Great B/W conversion.
