SD 1000 blury pictures on zoomed in shoots

I have owned the sd 1000 now for 2 months and have take about 1000 pictures, up close shoots come out very nice, but zoom in shoots very often appear blury and out of focus, I am not sure what the problem is excatly. Can any one help.

Well depending on the lighting conditions that you're shooting in and the amount of zoom, the camera can becoming more prone to camera shake. If they appear extremely out of focus constantly though, it could be an issue with the camera. Set the camera down on a stable surface and take a zoom shot and see if it comes out blurred or ok. If it's blurred then it's more likely an issue with the camera.
