A few days ago I discovered how to use the lightmeter in my A70 in manual mode. It made me a happy camper since I had taken to using a separate incident light meter and putting in the indicated settings. It actually works like a match needle system in an old SLR. It reads plus or minus the "ideal" setting in 1/3 stop increments or decrements. I like to expose about -1 stop.
I use a viewer mounted over the LCD to take my pictures. So the A70 really has the look and feel of an SLR.
