Hello all,
I'm looking for advice and or help figuring out what settings would be best for taking shots of fish and corals in public aquariums. Most of the time I'm shooting in dark rooms with only the artificial light from the tanks. My biggest problem is getting good shots of active fish. Most of what I get is a blurr or out of focus. I'm getting better at shots of coral but still waste about 90% of my shots. Shooting flash is not welcome at most aquariums due to it freaking out the fish..not to mention the backflash in the shot. Any help would be great and if this isn't the right section I apologize in advance.
Thanks
Fred

If you can't use flash, the only other option with moving subjects in low light is high ISO, which the S500 doesn't have. On an SLR, I use a rubber lens hood to guard against reflections off the glass (whether from flash or available light).
