Hey everyone, just finished going through all my images from my first shoot @ a live event (got 1% keepers if even). Anyways, I had a blast and it was quite a learning experience! C&C would be appreciated. Thx!

All are a bit too high in contrast & #6 looks like a bit too much Noise reduction going on.
That being said: Some nice images. I like #1, 3, 4 and 6.

thanks for the comments, I must have gone a bit overboard on the contrast slider in adobe raw XD

Yup, I like #6 but unless she brought an MUA of great passion she looks a bit plastic ... but I like wimmen so it's OK with me! :-) Good job!

I reuploaded #6 without adding any pp for the skin and lowered the contrast a bit. Thanks for the advice guys

I'd like some opinions on one thing that crossed my mind while sorting through and processing the images. For live events in a low light environment, what is usually preferred... a properly exposed background showing the curtains and the light stands etc or a darkened background with only the performers adequately exposed? I noticed that my entire set pretty much had the same "look" consisting of just the performers exposed and minimal background details. I know that my aggressiveness with the contrast slider during pp contributed to this but even the original raw images didn't have the background that well exposed.

Whatever looks good.
I tend to add vignetting to loose a distracting BG...
