Having been here for a while posting pictures on here I finally got it together and spent the entire night (I haven't gone to bed yet) building my portfolio site. I mean, I do this kind of stuff for a living so I'll be d@mned if I don't have a site for myself.

Started filling it with content so there is not much on it - yet. Have to sort out what images go on there.

C&C welcome. I'm trying to keep it as simple as possible navigation wise and yet make it look more complex that in actually is.

Cheers

Looks pretty easy to navigate to me. Good job!

Thanks. I find it a lot easier to build a site for others than for myself. Had fun doing this one, though.

Rebuilding my SagePhotoWorld site tonight. I need to put the discussion forum elsewhere in the site. It'll still be there though - which will no doubt please mr and mrs spammer.

Ah well, using phpbb whichis riddled with security holes, you would have problems. I used it before and had my server hacked to pieces. To the point I had to change forum system and get a new server as these hackers were using my machine to DOS attack other machines and the ISP got really annoyed.

Avoid it like the plague.

I switched to Joomla instead. Love it. In fact, shesgotthepic.com is built around joomla.

Haven't had any security issues after the switch at all. Am killing all sites using postnuke, phpnuke and maxdev with phpbb forums. I'm also porting all my client's pages to joomla as it just simply rock.

5 years of running nuke sites I never had as much problems as when I started running phpbb as it was standard.

No more.
