Just curious if anyone has information on Canon's plan to introduce the next generation 10d. Perhaps 8MP?

I am totally happy with my 300D, I will use it for the next 2yrs or so until I better my skills at photography, in the meantime I will stock up on lenses. My first lens is going to be the 75-300mm IS tele. Then I will look to get some nice glass. In about 2yrs I will check out the current state of DSLRs and decide on a new camera. Until then, I'll just enjoy my rebel and snap, snap away.

I feel it's not just the megapixels of the camera, but the IQ of the photographer behind it.

Is there some standard lens-buying-order that we follow without even knowing?
I bought my Rebel with the 18-55mm lens, then I bought the 50mm , not I'm waiting for the UPS guy to bring me my 75-300mm :P

Must be.. I had my eye on it for a while now. I want the IS one though, then I am gonna plunge into some L glass... Or maybe the 180mm MACRO.

The 75-300 IS was my first lens after the Drebel as well, and now I wish I would have gotten the 70-200 f4 L instead. Wanna buy my 75-300? I'll include the Canon hood. PM me.

Have Fun

Chuck,
You might want to look a the F4L series that way you can get L without breaking the bank! This will cover you from 17-40 and 70-200 in 2 lenses for about $1300, I think. Check B&H or your favourite reputable dealer.

I feel the same way. If I don't use it for the next 2 years, the wife will kill me.
